Could a Vacation in Cuba Be in Your Future?
A rumor that President Obama wants to ease restrictions on travel to Cuba, even if Congress doesn't move forward with nixing the ban completely, has U.S. globetrotters and the travel industry very excited. The move would be a step toward repealing the 50-year-old ban on American tourism in the communist state.
Obama may expand the qualifications for travel to Cuba. Currently, only educational and cultural trips are permitted if the travelers are students or employees at qualifying universities.
So, if sipping mojitos at La Bodeguita del Medio in Havana is your dream, it may soon come true. We'll keep you posted.
