Fleet Week offers visitors the chance to tour ships docked in Manhattan and Staten Island, see military demonstrations and meet men and women who are currently serving in the U.S. Navy, Marines and Coast Guard. The week long celebration has been held nearly every year since 1984. The Brooklyn Memorial Day Parade is a must for families and is also considered the oldest continuously Memorial Day parade.
